Celebrated actor and singer Jamie Foxx was turning 53 years old on Sunday, December 13, and was honoured by many in the entertainment industry.

The actor is famous for some of his movies and songs - starring in blockbusters such as Django and also giving fans incredible hits such as Blame it and You Changed Me.
As he clocked a year older, fellow celebrities went on social media to honour him including stars such as Lionel Richie and Kerry Washington.
Soul music singer Richie celebrated Jamie Foxx by sharing a video of the actor praising him for his music and curly hair back in the day.
He wrote:
100% 'Lionelle' and yes the 'California curl' was mandatory. Happy birthday my brother, wishing you many more to come."
Actress Kerry also saluted the star saying she was celebrating her movie husband. She asked fans to help her wish him a happy day.

Jamie's sister loss
It has been a roller coaster year for Jamie who recently announced the passing of his sister DeOndra Dixon.
The late Dixon, who was born with Down's Syndrome, reportedly died on Monday, October 19, according to People.
In his tribute, Foxx shared several pictures of the two noting that she had "transitioned because she will always be alive".
The actor said she was now dancing in heaven and he could only smile when he thought of all the memories that she had left him with which included dancing, something she was passionate about.
He added she left a hole in his heart which he would fill with all her memories and prayed her love helps the family in healing.
