Former Black Stars player Otto Addo named assistant coach of Dortmund

Otto Addo, a former Ghanaian midfielder who represented the country during the 2006 world cup held in Germany, has been appointed as an assistant coach for Borussia Dortmund.

Ghanasoccernet.com and Footballghana.com explain that this development comes after the German club decided to part ways with their head coach Lucien Favre following a 5-1 humiliating defeat it suffered at the hands of newly-promoted Stuttgart on Saturday.

Addo, who used to play for Dortmund, otherwise known as, Yellow and Blacks, was announced as the side's 'talent coach' last year to link the youth and senior teams.

He was at the club between 1999 and 2005, making 98 Bundesliga appearances (16 goals) and winning the 2002 Bundesliga title during his time with Dortmund.

Born in Germany, Addo represented Ghana at the World Cup in 2006, making two appearances at the event as the Black Stars reached the round of 16.

Linda, who is a product of the Mfantsiman Girls' Senior High School, was also at the University of Eastern Finland during her second year of her MPhil on an exchange programme.
