News reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that scores of supporters and sympathisers of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, are engaged in a face off with police personnel at the Electoral Commission, EC, headquarters.
They massed up on the street of the Electoral Commission headquarters to protest against the election results declared in favour of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on dailycelebrities.org, the protestors were spotted clad in black and red attires whiles chanting songs and wielding placards.
To show the intensity of what they were doing they burnt car tyres to register their displeasure.

The police on the other hand, sprayed them with water to douse the fire, as well as disperse them.
The protestors who did not look like backing down could be seen walking towards the police as the water was being poured on them.
The supporters want the Chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa to declare the results in favour of John Mahama because they claim the EC rigged the elections.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported, some protesters in Northern Region's capital, Tamale, who have taken to the streets to protest EC's declaration.
The protestors were spotted clad in red outfits, accompanied by arm and head bands.
Some of the placards they were carrying read, stolen verdict, 'we voted for change, so shall it be', 'military please use your conscience', while chanting no Mahama no president.
In Kumasi, a similar incident took place, as women supporting the party in the region, took to the streets to protest over the Electoral Commission's results.
Meanwhile, the immediate past chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Rev. Emmanuel Asante, says any action that will jeopardise the peace of the country from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not be tolerated.
Commenting on the development, Most Rev. Asante urged the NDC and its flagbearer to desist from inciting supporters onto the streets and follow the laid down legal channels for the resolution of electoral disputes.
According to him, there was nothing wrong with Mahama and the NDC rejecting the outcome of the polls.
