- The actor recounted his many defeats and revealed how he bounced back stronger on each count

Actor, entrepreneur and politician, John Settor Dumelo, has made an official statement following his loss in the 2020 Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary election.

The National Democratic Congress parliamentary hopeful took to his Facebook page to recount his many defeats in life and how he rose to the occasion by bouncing back stronger.

He went on to thank the over 37,000 constituents of Ayawaso West Wuogon who expressed confidence in him by voting for him.

Dumelo subtly conceded defeat to his opponent who contested on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan who was declared winner of the parliamentary election.

He however added that even though he was not happy with the outcome of the election, he was going to put the country first and allow things to be the way they are.

The actor revealed that he was ready to help the MP-elect make Awayawso West Wuogon one of the best constituencies in the country.

He jokingly said he had bought new wellington boots for the incumbent MP who retained the seat for the NPP in the ruling party's stronghold.

Excerpts of his post read: "To Lydia, many said it was impossible for me to even dream of winning but the numbers I pulled in and you winning by a very small margin, especially in such a stronghold of the NPP makes me extremely proud of the whole campaign.

I may not be satisfied with the final results or the irregularities that occurred,but before everything else I am Ghanaian and I will always put the people first“Ut omnes onum sint”.

Moving away from politics and zooming into education, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a young lady believed to have completed junior high school after successfully writing her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has been spotted crying in a video.

Information picked up from the video has it that the young lady went to check her BECE results and was surprised and displeased with the results she was seeing.

As the result slip was shown to her, she burst out into uncontrollable tears out of disbelief and claimed she wrote the papers well enough to deserve higher grades.
