The National Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has been voted as the politician of the year.

Sammy Gyamfi was voted as part of categories in YEN.com.gh's Readers Choice Awards 2020.

As part of activities to round off the year, YEN.com.gh organised an online award scheme for our readers to select their choices in a list of categories.

One of the categories happened to be 'Politician of the Year 2020' which sought the opinions of readers on the which Ghanaian celebrity's child they deem as the most popular in 2020.

Two weeks after the post, NDC's Sammy Gyamfi has emerged as the deserving winner of the category.

He came tops ahead of three other Ghanaian Politicians from four different political parties.

The politicians included NPP's Kennedy Agyapong, GFP's Akua Donkor and GUM's Osofo Kyiriabosom.

For many social media users, Sammy Gyamfi's win will not come as a surprise as he wowed many with his depth of knowledge.

Arthur said he chose Sammy Gyamfi because he is enthusiastic.

Nyarkoh also voted for Sammy Gyamfi.

David said Sammy Gyamfi is outstanding.

Haxxan beleives Sammy Gyamfi is very brilliant.

In other news, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has doubled down on his refusal to accept the outcome of the just-ended general elections.

This follows his meeting with a team from The Commonwealth over the elections which was held on Monday, December 7, 2020.

He briefed The Commonwealth team, led by its Secretary-General, Rt Hon Patricia Scotland.

It is believed that the former president espoused to the team, the reason why he rejected the idea of conceding defeat in the elections.
