Multiple award-winning Ghanaian blogger, Ameyaw Debrah, has spoken following blowback from a prank he played on social media with his brother's Mercedes Benz.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on YouTube, the blogger indicated that he was being criticised by some social media users after he flaunted a Mercedes Benz car.

According to him, some social media users were claiming that he bought the Mercedes Benz with money he was paid after he run campaigns for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Ameyaw Debrah however revealed that he run campaigns for the two biggest political parties in Ghana but many people have tagged him to be a member of the ruling party.

He cleared the air and said even if he was to declare his political affiliation, no one was going to hold him back.

In recounting how the whole issue came about, Ameyaw Debrah said he decided to play a prank on social media by saying he wanted a Mercedes Benz as his Christmas gift.

Days later, he flaunted his younger brother's Mercedes Benz and a lot of people started sending him congratulatory messages.

Other messages he said he received were ones coming from people on social media who claimed he bought his car with money he received from ads he run for the NPP.

In stating further, the experienced social media influencer added that the the money he received from the ads he run for the political parties was just enough to pay his staff and take care of his family and not enough to buy any car.
