The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is beginning to show some signs of irritation over the continuous calls on it to challenge any disagreement it has over the results of the 2020 polls in court.

This came to the fore on Thursday, December 24, 2020, when the general secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, angrily reacted to a question regarding why the NDC is not in court to challenge the outcome of the polls it described as “fundamentally flawed.”

In an interview on GHone TV, Nketia without mincing words said: “those asking us to go to the Supreme Court, they are ignorant about what they asking us to do.”

He said the NDC will not be bullied into hastily seeking redress in court saying: “We’ll cross the bridge when we get there.”

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh gathered that some ten presidential candidates in the 2020 elections are set to hold a crunch meeting with President Nana Akufo-Addo and John Dramani Mahama.

Sources close to the development told YEN.com.gh that the meeting was necessitated by the worrying pockets of violence and vandalism witnessed across the nation since the proclamation of Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s president-elect in the polls.

Akufo-Addo won the hotly contested presidential race collecting over 51 percent of the votes.

But, his main contender, former President Mahama refused to acknowledge the outcome, claiming the verdict was stolen.
