Vim Lady wins best female radio presenter at YEN Readers’ Choice Awards

UTV presenter, Akua Pokua, known popularly as Vim Lady in the media circles has been adjudged the best female radio presenter of 2020 at the YEN Readers’ Choice Awards.

She was nominated in the YEN Readers’ Choice Awards, together with Naa Ashorkor, formerly of Joy FM, Ohemaa Woyeje of Angel FM, and Jessica Opare Sarforo of Citi FM.

Vim Lady polled 40% of the total votes cast with Naa Ashorkor following closely with 38%.

Jessica came third with 13.6% while Ohema Woyeje got only 8%. There were 125 votes in all.

YEN.com.gh gathered some reactions to the poll. Some of those who commented gave reasons why Vim Lady deserves to win.

Meanwhile, in an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, singer Diana Hamilton emerged as the best gospel musician of the year.

Meanwhile, in other categories of the award scheme, musician Okyeame Kwame and his wife, Anica Apau, were voted for as the best celebrity couple 2020.

Ghanaians explained why the couple is the best so far and why they deserve to win in that category.

Nana Ama McBrown has also emerged as the best actress for the year.

Her daughter, Baby Maxin, emerged as the best most popular celebrity kid.

She contested with Simona Burner, rapper Strongman's daughter, Jidula, Stonebwoy's daughter, and Nana Akua Nhyira, Tracey Boakye's daughter.
