Kweku Bany, a rapper from the Western region, has emerged as the winner of the 2020 edition of Mentor, a music reality show by TV3.

Bany, a member of Adina Thembi's South Western Zone, won at the finals held on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

The rapper fended off stiff competition from three others, Ayeyi, Semenhyia, and Netty who placed second, third and fourth respectively.

Two others, Lyte and Hyndu, who made the grand finale were eliminated after the first round where each contestant sang their self-composed songs.

After delivering his song which he titled Talented, Bany's second performance had him doing a rap version of Stonebwoy's People Dey.

His masterful performances got judges and the audience at the finals in a frenzy mood as they jammed and hailed him.

By his win, Bany has taken the grand prize of a brand new car, Ghc10,000, a trip to Dubai and GH¢50,000 worth of airtime across all Media General platforms as well as having two mastered songs recorded.

In other reality show news, Dee Baby, a contestant from Tamale in the Nothern region, has won the 2020 edition of Di Asa.

Dee Baby emerged winner at the grand finale of the Season 4 held on Monday, December 28.

She won ahead of Fafa, Maame, Naa Dollar, and Amonor, who made up the last five at the finals.
