Popular Ghanaian investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has warned that he is ready to unleash more fire on the heads of people who would indulge in corrupt act come 2021.
He referred to these as “thieves who pilfer our national kitty with impunity and abuse human rights.”
Anas added that we have only one Ghana, therefore, each person must play their role well in a positive way.
His warning has triggered massive reactions from Ghanaians with some NPP supporters hitting at him.
Bryan Buabeng, a staunch NPP member wrote that Anas lacks integrity to speak in that manner. He also said Anas should desist from blackmailing:
Kow hit back at Bryan saying that it is “your Nana Addo” that has silenced him:
Mason also said he is not surprised about Bryan’s comment being a boy of Akufo-Addo’s cousin, Gabby Otchere Darko:
Nana also hit hard at Bryan for his comment:
Amandu advised Anas to be careful:
Alhassan remarked that people like Anas need to be celebrated but for fear, they hide themselves:
Nasiru also had an advice for Anas:
Felix wished Anas well:
Meanwhile, Anas has, over the past years, released groundbreaking investigating pieces that have exposed the rot of the society.
One of them is the Number 12 video that laid bare the corruption in Ghana’s football sector, leading to the dismissal of key leaders.
The former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, was accused of some dubious activities in that video that got him being banned for life by FIFA.
Nyantakyi was also shown the exit as the GFA President, after his ban and fine by FIFA.
One of Anas’ team members, Ahmed Suale, was shot and killed following the premiere of the Number 12 investigative piece.
