11-year-old boy stuns social media with crops he cultivated for himself

- She said that she had a future farmer on her hands after he successfully planted mealies, butternut and beans

Lesego Lee Aries Mogale shared a post on Facebook in the #ImStaying group in which she explains that at the age of 11 he has a green thumb and has grown an impressive vegetable garden.

She believes that her son will be a farmer in the future. She pictures show her son standing proudly in front of his garden.

" My 11-year-old son has his very own vegetable garden, he planted mealies, butternut and beansladies and gents we have a future farmer on our hands and for that, I am staying..."

Earlier, It was reported that it’s definitely a new year of new things. It seems Zodwa Wabantu was serious when she shared her aspirations to sell chickens and eggs. The media personality took to social media to share a video of herself with her chickens.

Since Ramaphosa basically shut down the entertainment industry, Zodwa said that she would be turning to chickens to make a living.

In the footage she shared, Zodwa could be seen picking up a live chicken while talking about her new endeavour.

In other news, a Stellenbosch farmworker, and cattle herdsman, Kasango Murehwa Samkute recently had his life change after he received R100 000 for his contribution to the carbon sequestered in the soil on the farm where he works.

The Angus farmworkers received the money from a local financial institution, Nedbank who trades the carbon credits that are awarded to farms and farmers who are able to farm in a manner that holds carbon in the soil as opposing to releasing it into the environment.

A total of R273 thousand rand was paid out to the farmworkers of which Mr Samkute received a bulk due to the fact that his cattle had processed the majority of carbon sequestered. At Farmer Angus, the cattle, pigs, and chickens are rotationally grazed on the Spier Wine Farm in a farming method known as regenerative agriculture.
