Father-of-five absconds as wife gives birth to quadruplets in Edo

- A Nigerian father-of-five has taken to his heels after his wife gave birth to four more children at once

A father-of-five has absconded after his wife delivered a set of quadruplets on Saturday, January 2, in Benin, the Edo state capital.

The disclosure was made by a Facebook user identified as Sarah Az Izevbigie. According to the woman, the new mum, Rita Ndibisu, needs the help of Nigerians to cater for her babies.

She appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to help Rita and her children as she shared account details.

"She needs help and assistance from me and all well meaning Nigerians out there. Diapers, baby food, baby clothes, wipes, money will be well appreciated as her hospital bill is yet to be settled.

In other news, Peter Ejiofor, the deputy editor-in-chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), and his wife Anastasia, sought the help of fellow countrymen in taking care of their quadruplets who recently clocked three years.

Ejiofor, who would be retiring in 2021, said taking care of the kids has not been easy but friends and family have been assisting.

According to him, the quadruplets arrived seven years after marriage. Ejiofor described their birth as a miracle.
