85 ministers to serve in Akufo-Addo’s second term following collapse of seven ministries

YEN.com.gh noted that some known ministers have been reassigned to ministries different from what they headed under Akufo-Addo's first term.

Key among them are former Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, who has now been moved to the Energy Ministry.

The former Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu, has now been assigned to the ministry of Railways Development.

Meanwhile, Akufo-Addo had in his first term 36 substantive ministers and seven ministers of state overall.

He also had 48 deputy ministers, as well as 16 regional ministers and 16 deputy regional ministers, bringing the total number of ministers and deputy ministers to 123.

This number has seen a reduction in the president's second term.

In other news, Rev. Owusu Bempah has claimed that things have changed in spirit and that Mahama can become president again.

Bempah is thus making a U-turn from his former pronouncement against Mahama that he can never be president again, and that he will only be disgraced if he forces himself.
