Ho Airport: Commercial flights to begin in April 2021

Sudan, Somalia and South Sudan, were at the bottom of the index.

Other African countries that were ranked as least corrupt than Ghana are Rwanda , Mauritius, Namibia, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal and South Africa.

The 2020 edition of the CPI was perceived by their levels of public sector corruption, drawing on 13 expert assessments and surveys of business executives. It uses a scale of zero (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

Transparency International however recommends that all governments strengthen oversight institutions to ensure resources reach those most in need.

This, according to them, would help reduce corruption and provide a better response to future crises.

TI also wants governments to ensure open and transparent contracting to combat wrongdoing, identify conflicts of interest and ensure fair pricing.

In other news, the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced that the commercial flights to Ho would commence during the Easter holidays.
