Osei Bonsu: Scientist invents new method of cooking banku without stress after wife travelled for 1 day

- He brainstormed the easy way of cooking without kneading that only takes a matter of 25 minutes for the food to get ready

A scientist in Ghana identified by the name Osei Bonsu has developed a modernized way of preparing local dishes like banku, akple, fufu and kokonte without stress.

In a video report sighted by YEN.com.gh on myjoyonline.com, Osei Bonsu revealed that he came up with the idea after his wife travelled one day and he had to do the cooking himself.

According to him, the procedure was really stressful for him and he wanted to make it both effortless and a lot more time-saving.

Describing how the method works, Osei Bonsu indicated that unlike kneading the dough, a small non-stick bowl is used for mixing the dough or powder (kokonte, akple or fufu powder) with hot water in a saucepan to obtain the desired thickness.

The bowl is then filled with the thick paste and covered.

The non-stick bowl is then placed in a cooking pot filled with water and in a matter of only 25 minutes, the food is ready to be consumed.

Osei Bonsu added in conclusion that the special non-stick bowls used for the process can be produced in commercial quantities if he obtains funding.
