A mortuary contractor at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Shakar Lukas, has claimed young people are dying earlier than their destined time because of their waywardness.

Shakar Lukas explains that young people between the ages of twenty-three and twenty-five years are passing away early, which is not normal.

Speaking in an interview with Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii of Kofi TV, Lukas claimed mothers are now burying their children, explaining that it should not be the case.

''The reason for their death is the way they're living their lives. This world has somethings that we young people forget. We call it African tradition; humble yourself, respect your seniors and elders,'' he said.

The mortuary contractor gave a startling account to buttress his claims, revealing young men visit him at the Korle-Bu Teaching for water used to bathe dead bodies to perform rituals for wealth.

He disclosed a former colleague at the Korle-Bu mortuary sometime ago cut the joystick of a dead young man and sold it to a client.

They were twins and when the deceased's family came for the remains of their dead relative to go and bury in the village, they discovered his joystick had been removed, Lukas said.

However, the dead young man's twin brother left and returned with other family members to perform certain rituals on the remains.

According to Lukas, his former colleague died not long after the deceased's twin brother declared the person who removed his brother's joystick would die.
