Ghanaian comic actor and teacher, Michael Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo, claims the Ghana Education Service (GES), is intimidating Abenah Serwaah Mankosa following her kind gesture towards her pupils.

Serwaah Mankosa, a class one teacher at Aninkroma D/A Primary School in the Adankwame District in the Ashanti Region, has been trending throughout the week for feeding her class one pupil with hot meals each day.

She explained that the initiative is only to augment the government's School Feeding Programme in her school and not to undermine it.

Serwaah Mankosa has, however, come under intense scrutiny from some authorities in her school and the district for feeding her pupils using her little resources and donations from loved ones, she said.

''I just don’t know any GES rules that are against taking pictures of children, so we can’t reach out to the less privileged in the society in peace.

''Can the community turn against me that they don’t like how I treat my children under the influence of any power? Ghana is sweet. Daddy said I'm stronger than this. The final verdict at my district education office. I love my country. I have just lost appetite. So will Ghana ever develop?''

But her friends are not backing down and have thrown their support behind her, indicating that they'd not allow the Ghana Education Service (GES) to intimidate her.

In a long-worded post in support of his colleague teacher, Teacher Kwadwo expressed disappointment at the GES, claiming the Service is attempting to intimidate Serwaah Mankosa.
