The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has fired back at Sammy Gyamfi, following an earlier attack.

Gyamfi has accused Bagbin and other NDC members in parliament of working against the interest of the party.

He especially accused Bagbin of turning his back on the NDC after assuming the role of the speaker on the ticket of the NDC.

The NDC’s dream did not see the light of the day as those nominees they wanted rejected were given the pass to become ministers.

To Gyamfi, these people have all sold their conscience and indicated that the party would rebuild itself without them.

You trust them at your own peril”, he added in warning members and supporters of the NDC.

However, Bagbin has shot down Sammy Gyamfi’s claims and said he is a Speaker for Ghana and not the NDC.

He explained, according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Classfmonline.com that he would always put partisanship behind him when it comes to his role as the speaker of parliament.

Because I say I belong or came from a party, does he [Sammy Gyamfi] think I’m at the beck and call of the party?” Bagbin quizzed.

He added that he would not turn down the many Ghanaians looking up to him just because of party colours.
