In a period of 24 hours, 13 more coronavirus related deaths have been recorded, bringing the death toll to 698.
As of Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Ghana's death toll of coronavirus death stood at 685.
Also, 243 new cases were recorded, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) stated, with the COVID-19 active cases standing at 3,701.
A total of 88,228 cases have so far been recorded with 83,829 recoveries.

According to the update, 48 persons who were admitted from the illness are in severe condition with 18 others in critical condition.
The Greater Accra Region still leads with the highest number of cases, followed by the Ashanti, Eastern and Central Region respectively.
The Oti Region has so far recorded the lowest number of cases.
Meanwhile, information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that a ‘COVID-19 corpse’ has gone missing from a mortuary in the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region.
The Municipality’s environmental officers were shocked when the mortal remain of Janet Nyarko who reportedly succumbed to the deadly coronavirus was nowhere to be found when they were at the morgue to supervise her burial on March 14, 2021.
Nyarko’s body was secretly smuggled away before the arrival of the environmental officers, by her kindred with the help of the workers at the mortuary, StarrFM.com.gh reports.
According to the outlet, the corpse was sent to the SDA church for a burial service.
In other news, caretaker Finance Minister, Osei Kyei Mensa-Bonsu, disclosed that the Akufo-Addo administration intends to introduce a COVID-19 Health Levy of 1% on Value-added Tax (VAT) as part of measures in rebuilding the country’s economy.
The administration will further introduce the Flat Rate Scheme (VFRS) and a 1% on National Health Insurance Levy (NHIL) all part of the recovery measure.
He said the levies will be used for the procurement of vaccines and the establishment of 14 medical waste treatment facilities across the country.
