Burgeoning Ghanaian musician, Lennon has expressed confidence in the fact that a Ghanaian artiste would soon win big at the Grammys and make the nation proud.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh on Star Gist, Lennon indicated that in a few years to come, a Ghanaian artiste would walk up the Grammy stage to receive an award.

Lennon gave a timeline to this assertion and said in the next one or two years, a Ghanaian artiste would make the nation proud by coming back home with a Grammy Award.

The musician indicated that Ghanaian artistes were not doing anything different from what the Nigerian acts were doing so it was just a matter of time for the 'Grammy grace' to shine on Ghana.

He added that there is always a first time for everything and just like the way Burna Boy and Wizkid have won their first-ever Grammys, a Ghanaian act would also enjoy that honor.

Lennon said the recent Grammy Awards which saw Nigeria getting huge acknowledgment was a big win for the whole of Africa.

He said there was no need to blame each other or for there to be any form of bashing because he believed everything will fall in place with time.

Speaking about Grammys, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Ghanaian content creator and YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon, has taken a swipe at popular dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, for his inability to win a Grammy award for himself and the nation.

The Youtuber seemed to suggest that the “Gringo” hitmaker has been producing below par songs, hence his inability to make an appearance on the global stage.
