Famous Ghanaian YouTuber, Wode Maya, who is considered by many as the number one YouTuber in Africa has revealed that too many celebrities in Ghana show off a fake life.

In an interview hosted by popular TV personality, Jessica Opare-Saforo, the famous YouTube personality indicated that he came to this realization after meeting many top icons who are looked up to by Ghanaians.

According to Wode Maya, very often, the lifestyles that celebrities put out as what they live are actually rented temporarily just for social media.

According to the widely-followed YouTuber, he has refused to live a fake life, which is why he decided to shoot all his interviews in his casual wears instead of something fancy.

Wode Maya, whose real name is Berthold Winkler's videos started gaining traction online over time and he decided to quit his job to focus on telling the African story.

Berthold hails from a small village in the Western Region of Ghana and has now gained well over 500,000 YouTube subscribers on his channel.

Meanwhile, Gloria Lardi Adakurugu, the benevolent Ghanaian teacher who was previously reported on by YEN.com.gh has been honoured by the Ghana Education Service following the publication.
