Emmanuel, not knowing the ring was fortified with rituals, put it on, went home, and started experiencing pain when he slept with it on his finger.

He recounted that his hands were swollen as a result, after the townsfolk tried to forcefully remove the ring with a saw.

Instead of falling off, the ring rather tightened around the young man's hand, penetrating deep into his bone.

Luckily for Emmanuel, a powerful mallam came to his rescue and performed some rituals which eventually got the ring off his finger.
