Ras Mubarak narrates why he cut his dreadlocks before becoming parliamentarian

- Ras Mubarak, former MP for Kumbungu has indicated that he was forced by circumstances beyond his control to get rid of his dreadlocks

- Speaking in a radio interview, Ras Mubarak indicated that he had no choice because he was getting bald at the time

- He mentioned that there was no law against having dreadlocks and he would have kept his but for the condition

Former Member of Parliament of Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, has narrated the circumstances which masterminded his to decision go into parliament without his dreadlocks.

According to the honourable man, the laws of Ghana do not have any clause that is against one going to parliament wearing their deadlocks, but there were circumstances beyond his control that compelled him to get rid of them.

“There is no law that says one cannot be a parliamentarian because of his dreadlocks. No one can prevent you from running for an election with dreadlocks but I had to cut mine because of a particular reason”, he said.

Yfmghana.com reports that he would have been a Rastafarian in Ghana's parliament but for the fact that he was becoming bald by the time he won a seat in the house.

The politician furthered that apart from the constitution of Ghana, the Bible also wholly supports the wearing of one’s natural hair.

“Rastafarians regard aspects of the Bible that supports the Nazarene lifestyle rooted in Numbers 6:5”, Ras Mubarak conjectured.

Meanwhile, a gentleman identified as Lord N.A Quaye who was allowed to attend high school at Accra Academy is now championing movements to impact lives positively in Ghana.

In posts sighted by YEN.com.gh on his Twitter handle, @LordnQuaye, the gentleman is seen on different occasions speaking to masses and engaging with high-level personalities in Ghana.
