VGMA 2021: Talented Blind Singer Adelaide The Seer Gets Nomination

- Adelaide The Seer has received her first-ever VGMA nomination

Singer Adelaide The Seer, known in private life as Adelaide Bortier, has received a Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) nomination.

The visually impaired singer was nominated in the Unsung category for the 2021 edition of the VGMA which is expected to be held in a few weeks from now.

Adelaide's nomination was announced as part of a nominees list released on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

The young singer will be slugging it out with Nanky, Oseikrom Sikani, Kwame Yogot, Malcom Nuna, Kobby Tuesday, Naana Blu and Queen Dalyn for the award.

Reacting to the announcement, Adelaide who shared a flier of her category on social media said she could not believe the news.

She also expressed gratitude to the people who have shown her love and support. She particularly mentioned the Hiplife duo, DopeNation who have helped her to gain prominence.

The Unsung category is awarded to up and coming music artistes. The winners of the category get an opportunity to perform at the VGMA main event in order to showcase their talent to a bigger audience.

In other news, Kumawood actress Mercy Asiedu and her husband Nana Agyemang Duah have celebrated their wedding anniversary.

The couple got married in 2017 making this year their fourth wedding anniversary.

The actress took to social media to share a photo and video in celebration.
