Gyampo was implicated alongside Dr. Paul Kwame Butakor, both of the University of Ghana.

Despite being cleared of any act of sexual conduct by the fact-finding committee set up by the University, the two were, however, found guilty of conducting themselves in a manner that caused embarrassment to the university.

They were thus referred to the university’s disciplinary committee which recommended a six-month suspension without pay for Gyampo and a four-month suspension without pay for Dr. Butakor.
