The suspects, Awatey David Okra, 22, a driver and Amenuvor Nicholas, 20, were arrested by residents of Kwamekyere, a community in the Ayensuano District upon a tip off.

The police says it all happened when a search was done of their luggage which turned out to contain suspected human bones.

“The suite case with the bones, the pot containing the skull, and the pan with its contents were retained for evidential purposes whilst the two suspects are detained for further investigation,” police spokesperson for the region Francis Gomado told Accra-based Starr FM.

Spiritualist, Kwaku Bonsam, has raised concern about the money-doubling cases in Ghana warning the general public against fake money ritualists on social media.

Speaking on Joy FM, Kweku Bonsam revealed that most ritualists who engage in such things are fruadsters who play on the minds of gullible victims.

“I, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, say that there is no double money in this world, there is no double money in this world. The person who says he will double money for you go and look at their home, some are using bicycles, even corolla and motors.”

The comments by Kweku Bonsam follows the killing of a 10-year old at Kasoa in Accra by two teenagers – for the purposes of money rituals.

During the grisly 1994 genocide in Rwanda, General Anyidoho led a Ghanaian contingent deployed to serve in the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) under Canadian General Roméo Dallaire.

The escalation of the genocide in the East African nation called for the peacekeeping troops to be evacuated from the country.

General Anyidoho, however, was one of the few foreign peacekeeping troops who consciously refused to abandon Rwandans to their fate in defiance of the Security Council order to evacuate.

In a Facebook post, a former deputy editor for Focus on Africa at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Ben Dostei Malor recalled that in 2014, during a speech in Accra, Rwandan President Paul Kagame paid tribute to the valour, humanity, and leadership of General Anyidoho and the valiant Ghanaian peacekeepers he commanded to stay on to save lives.

The illustrious son of Ghana, General Anyidoho, in his book, Guns over Kigali, acknowledges the role of teamwork in surviving the dark days during the genocide, according to the post by Ben Dotsei Malor.
