Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, has verbally assaulted popular blogger Ameyaw Debrah for reporting about his fake Rolex saga.

On Thursday, April 15, a German-based luxury watch company noted for busting people who post and flaunt fake watches stated that Medikal's Rolex watch was fake. This led to Ghanaians laughing at the rapper.

In other news, actress Akuapem Poloo's lawyer, Andy Vortia, has spoken after the conviction of the actress by an Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Poloo, known in private life as Rosemond Brown, was convicted after pleading guilty to charges brought against her following her viral nude photo with her son in June 2020.

Poloo was made to go in custody to undergo a pregnancy test while awaiting the judge, Christiana Cann's, sentencing on Friday, April 16.

Following the news that Poloo was convicted on her own plea, many have been wondering why she chose to plead guilty.

But speaking in an interview on Peace FM on Thursday, Lawyer Vortia indicated that the guilty plea was the best route, looking at the evidence at hand. According to him, the prosecutors handed over a pen drive containing video evidence of Poloo going nude with her son, among others.

From the pen drive, the evidence against the actress was so overwhelming that they needed to plead and not fight. The latter route, the lawyer explained, would have been deemed as a waste of the court's time and would have attracted a harsher punishment.

But with the guilty plea, Lawyer Vortia was hopeful that he could get the judge to show mercy and opt for the most lenient punishment. He also debunked suggestions that the pregnancy test asked by the court meant Poloo was going to be jailed.
