Information gathered by YEN.com.gh indicates that Constable Amos Mattey, the police officer allegedly killed by Aduana Stars defender, Farouk Adams, will be buried tomorrow, Saturday, April 17, 2021.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Pulse, family sources said Mattey’s final funeral rites will be held at the Spring of Life Assemblies of God Church at Tempe-Kukuo in Tamale in the Northern region.

Adams, who was arrested for knocking down the late Constable Mattey was granted bail of GHC60,000 with four sureties after he was arraigned before the Sunyani High Court.

He was charged with two counts of careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm.

The incident happened on Monday, March 1, 2021, between Asuotiano and Asuhyiae in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region.

Per the report, the officer, Constable Mattey of the Wamfie Police station, was alleged to have left his duty post to purchase something but never returned until he was found dead Tuesday morning in what appears to be a hit-and-run by a Red Toyota Camry with registration number GW 5882-17, driven by the Aduana Stars’ central defender.

In other news, actress Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to a three-month jail term for posting a nude photo with her son in June 2020.

Poloo was sentenced after pleading guilty to the charge which included the publication of obscene material and domestic violence.

Earlier, comedian DKB had visited Akuapem Poloo in the police cells. In a video after the visit, DKB has described the actress' current condition.

The comedian also pleaded with the judge in the case to be merciful.

Meanwhile, Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone has jabbed TV presenter Joyce Serwaa Amihere on Twitter over Akuapem Poloo's court case.

Serwaa Amihere had suggested that those pleading on Akuapem Poloo's behalf were 'wasting their breath,' Reggie Rockstone however shared a different view on the whole.
