On Wednesday, April 14, Poloo was convicted by an Accra Circuit Court after she pleaded guilty to the charges of publishing obscene material with two counts of domestic violence over posting a nude photo of her son in 2020.

On Friday, April 16, she was sentenced to three months in jail for those charges.

In a related development, Ghanaians are reacting to the news that actress Akuapem Poloo, born Rosemond Brown, has been sentenced to three months imprisonment for publishing obscene material.

Whilst some sympathized with her, others praised the judge for the decision.

Prior to the sentencing, she explained the idea behind the photoshoot saying that she gave birth to her son while not wearing any clothes, therefore, she decided to remind him of what she went through to birth him.

When she shared those photos, many people criticised her and warned her to take down those photos.

However, she hit back hard at her critics, saying that it is her page, her body, and so she can post whatever she wants.

Her 90-day sentence means that the many calls by her colleague entertainers to have her released fell on the deaf ears of the judge. The likes of Sarkodie, APlus, Efya, Bridget Otoo, Kwaw Kese, Nana Ama McBrown, others, all started a social media campaign for the judge's kind attention.

The saddest of all is the cries of Rosemond Brown's mother who begged the judge to have mercy and forgive her daughter.
