Ghanaian artiste, Kuami Eugene has responded to the people who criticised what he wore during the presentation of a Range Rover to him by Kwaku Oteng.

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, Oteng, who is the owner of Adonko Bitters and Angel Broadcasting gifted the music star with a brand Range Rover Velar.

The gift was in appreciation of Eugene's role as Adonko Next Level energy drink brand ambassador.

“It is actually very shallow and very light-headed for people to think about how somebody will have to look to go and take his gift," Kuami Eugene responded to JOY News' Doreen Avio in an interview.

"I think it is very light-headed if you are not thinking about how he has been able to work hard to attract this blessing to himself and you are thinking about how he has to look to go and take his own gift?"

In other news, Ghanaian fashionista, Nana Akua Addo, has stated that she feels very honoured anytime people tag her as a “slay queen” due to her sense of fashion.

Nana Akua Addo, while speaking in an interview with Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix, maintained that the word "slay queen" was not offensive to her at all but rather came with some sense of pride due to her line of work.

She revealed that a new sort of negative implication had come to be associated with the term "slay queen" which some women find derogatory.

But to her, it was okay to be tagged with such a name because it was an honour for people to notice that your sense of fashion makes a statement.

She revealed that whatever dress she decided to step out with had its own cultural meaning and historic background.

The fashion icon said due to her kind of outfits, she has graced many prestigious red carpets that had international media outlets like CNN and BBC in attendance and they ended up posting her on their websites.

She said due to this, she herself has attracted some mileage to her brand, industry, and Ghana as a nation. Nana Akua Addo also mentioned that many stylists and brands pay her to wear their outfits to occasions.
