Fella, Reggie, DKB other celebs leap for joy following the release of Akuapem Poloo

A number of well-known celebrities in Ghana have taken to social media to react to the news of Akuapem Poloo's bail that took place today, April 21, 2021.

News went viral some hours ago that Akuapem Poloo, known in real life as Rosemond Alade Brown, had been granted bail after her lawyer filed an appeal.

The lawyer, Mr Andrew Vortia, indicated that his move was to allow the actress to be released from police custody while they begin an appeal process after she was handed a jail sentence.

Following the news of Poloo's bail request being granted, many celebs took to social media to jubilate over the decision.

Celebs including Reggie Rockstone, Fella Makafui, Derrick Kobina Bonney famed as DKB, Gloria Sarfo, and a host of their colleagues have reacted to the latest news.

Veteran Ghanaian musician Reggie Rockstone, in reacting to the news wrote: "GOD IS GOOD ALWAYS! THANKING ALL YOU GOOD FOLX! CAN I GET AN AMEN A LOUD AFRICAN AMEN!!! @iamtyetye @kegoka ( y’all the realest cats out here and I want you to know this kings) @dkbghana YO ROCKZWAAKYE KUM TWO EGGS DEY WAIT U KING! APPRECIATE YOU!!!!"

Ghanaian comedian DKB captioned the post with a bible verse: "Psalm 34:17" which reads: The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

Many of these celebs took to social media to react to Akuapem Poloo's conviction and subsequent 90-day jail term pronouncement.

A hashtag, #FreeAkuapemPoloo was started by many celebs who opposed the Accra high court's decision to incarcerate the actress.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Child Rights International (CRI), Bright Appiah has opened up on his outfit's next line of actions following Akuapem Poloo's case.

While speaking in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Okay FM, Bright Appiah indicated that they were turning their sights on people using their kids for commercial purposes.

According to him, people who were using their children for adverts to amass wealth to themselves were going against the law.
