NDC tweep jabs Stonebwoy, others over #FixTheCountry silence; Stone fires back

- A Twitter account believed to be operated by a National Democratic Congress (NDC) faithful has jabbed some celebrities over their perceived lack of support for the #FixTheCountry campaign

- Stonebwoy has since responded asking that national issues should not be politicized

- The #FixTheCountry campaign is to draw attention to issues facing Ghanaians

A Twitter account believed to be operated by a National Democratic Congress member has jabbed Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy, and other celebrities for their supposed lack of support for the #FixTheCountry campaign.

Ghanaians online are taking the Akufo-Addo-led government to task by outlining the various issues slowing the growth of Ghana, and its effects on citizens with the #FixTheCountry campaign.

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, the account with the identity @Ndcpidgintweets tweeted at the 'Activate Hitmaker accusing him of being a hypocrite for not supporting the ongoing social media campaign when he supported #ENDSars in Nigeria months ago.

Other celebrities who have been quiet on the matter were also tagged in the post.

"@samini_dagaati @sarkodie @stonebwoyb @shattawalegh dem all make quiet. These same people then dem dey push #EndSARS nu oo. Same people go come tell us to support our own yet they can’t fight for their own #FixTheCountry #BlackTuesday," reads what was tweeted at Stonebwoy.

"Please if them send you tell Dem say u no see me o.. which part of the suffering are we not affected by directly and indirectly as Ghanaians. The problem is you the parties Politicizing everything. When you know exactly what To Do..," retorted Stonebwoy.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported that celebrity support for the #FixTheCountry campaign was growing with the likes of Yvonne Nelson, Bridget Otoo, Serwaa Amihere, and many others joining the train. John Dumelo previously expressed support for calls by Ghanaians for the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government to resolve the nation's issues.
