Fix your mentality first - Kuami Eugene wades into #FixTheCountry campaign

Like Afia Schwarzenegger, Kuami Eugene thinks the #FixTheCountry campaign is misplaced when the attitude of Ghanaians is not encouraging.

In the past few days, Ghanaians on social media have taken the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government to task by outlining the various issues slowing Ghana's growth and its effects on citizens.

The campaign has gained celebrity backing from the likes of Yvonne Nelson, Bridget Otoo, Serwaa Amihere, and John Dumelo.

Eugene, however, is of the opinion that there has to be a change in the behavior of the citizens first.

"We need to fix our mentality towards our own people and what is produced here then after that is achieved, we can channel this energy to help fix our country," said the Open Gate hitmaker to Foster Aggor on Starr Drive on Starr 103.5 FM.

In other news, John Dumelo previously expressed support for calls by Ghanaians for the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government to resolve the nation's issues.

Rallying under the trending hashtag, Ghanaians online took the Akufo-Addo-led government to task calling for solutions to the country's problems.

Former TV3 presenter, Bridget Otoo took a swipe at celebrities who have remained silent about the campaign. "Celebrity Adongo will collect 1 million Ghana cedis to lead NAM1’s scam and lose his/her voice when needed on real issues #FixTheCountry," she tweeted.

Actress Yvonne Nelson also expressed her happiness about the campaign: "I'm happy you guys are GETTIN it now! #FixTheCountry @NAkufoAddo [angry face emoji] for those who follow party colours......stay far away!
