Celebrated award-winning actor, Prince David Osei, has added his voice to the campaign calling on the current administration led by President Akufo-Addo to fix the country.

Some unhappy Ghanaians through the social media hashtag, “Fix the country” have been venting their anger and frustration over what they say is the failure on the part of successive administrations to improve the lives of the citizenry.

The actor who campaigned for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Akufo-Addo during the 2020 general elections, argued that the country cannot only be fixed when Ghanaians change their attitude and mindset.

“Ghana will be better and well-fixed if we the citizenry fix ourselves first," Prince David Osei stated in a social media posted sighted by YEN.com.gh.
“We move!! #fixyourself and then Ghana will be fixed for all to enjoy!! #wemove..., “he added, asking: “Is it not the same human beings that work in government and a place of power? Are they not citizens of Ghana?? From the church to the flagstaff house is all corrupt!!! So, let’s fix ourselves first, that will translate to fixing our country Ghana!!! Amen.”

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, descended heavily on the #FixTheCountry campaigners, describing them as propagandist tools of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The maverick lawmaker, therefore, urged members of the governing New Patriotic Party to strongly challenge the narrative that the country is headed to the abyss under President Akufo-Addo.

According to him, the country has seen considerable progress under the stewardship of President Akufo-Addo, and that the president’s achievements need to be strongly and effectively communicated to the general public for their appreciation.
