Actor Prince David Osei has expressed his displeasure at attempts by some people to force him to support the #FixTheCountry campaign.

Ghanaians online have taken the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government to task by speaking about issues hurting the development of Ghana and its effects on citizens.

Osei is one of the celebrities who are not in support of the campaign.

"I want to retweet this a million times... Gyimi sorr when I lambasted the government my own people, for increase in tariffs on Covid19 freebies last month, did anybody’s mother or father joined my voice?? Use your voice don’t force me into sh*t!!! I don’t just jump!! Excuse me," quote-tweeted the actor in response to a tweet by blogger Ameyaw Debrah.

The tweet by Debrah reads: "You have a voice, use it! stop forcing people to use their voice how you want it. It doesn’t make you real!"

"You don’t just jump cos your stomach is full mmoa," reacted Kelvin Claude to Osei's tweet.

In other news, Former TV3 Presenter, Bridget Otoo, has lashed out at Chief Executive Officers of Ghanaian media houses after news broke about the suspension of Angel FM's Captain Smart.

On Thursday, May 6, 2021, YEN.com.gh reported that the host of the station's morning show, Anopa Bofour, had been taken off the airwaves. It was later confirmed by Kwadwo Dickson, the station's General Manager.

"Captain Smart’s issue isn’t an isolated one, there are so many presenters who are threatened daily for saying things that aren’t favourable to gov’t," tweeted Otoo in reaction to the news.

"The sad aspect is you have CEOs with zero balls and would throw you under the bus #FixTheCountry #FixTheCountryGhana," she added.
