Bullying online has done me more harm than dumsor; fix that too - Wendy Shay

Ghanaian artiste, Wendy Shay says bullying online has done her more harm compared to the intermittent supply of power in Ghana, also known as "dumsor."

Her statement comes as a contribution of sorts to the ongoing #FixTheCountry campaign. Over the past week, Ghanaians online have been mentioning the list of problems affecting Ghana, with the intent to get them fixed.

Shay stated that there is a number of things that need to be resolved and fixed in Ghana, adding that "personally, cyberbullying has done me more harm than dumsor."

She is often trolled on Social Media, with many comparing her to the late Ebony Reigns.

In other news, television host, Efia Odo has spoken to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) about the ongoing #FixTheCountry campaign. Odo, one of the public figures backing the campaign reiterated why she supports the cause during the interview.

"Why don't we have beds in hospitals? Why are children learning on the floor? These government officials, will they be happy that their kids are learning on the floor, That there are no tables, there are no chairs," quizzed Odo.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that she had pushed back against allegations that conveners of the #FixTheCountry campaign have been paid by John Mahama, the former President of Ghana.

On Tuesday, May 8, 2021, Odo and other supporters of the campaign notified the Ghana Police Service of their intention to embark on a demonstration against the government on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

It was denied for COVID-19 restriction reasons. Since then, some people have made assumptions that the actions of the conveners are because they because been paid by Mahama.
