As YEN.com.gh reported, Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stated that the exercise is expected to commence latest by June and the primary document required for that purpose is the National Identification card.

The vice president made the disclosure at the ongoing 5th Ghana CEO summit in Accra.

Dr Bawumia further warned that anyone who fails to take part in the re-registration of the SIM card with the National Identification card risks losing his or her SIM card.

In another interesting report, a group of 153 Ghanaians who were trained and certified as medical doctors in foreign countries has been said to still be without postings to respective hospitals for their housemanship.

Speaking to YEN.com.gh, one of the affected young doctors who prefer not to be named stated that they were part of a larger group of 500, out of which 347 received their postings.

The narrator further explained that this has been the third year since they graduated from their respective foreign institutions since 2019 but their letters are still pending.
