Paul Adom-Otchere shreds Martin Amidu; advises him to grab DSTV and watch Man U play

Good Evening Ghana host, Paul Adom-Otchere, has taken Martin Amidu on for accusing President Nana Akufo-Addo of blackmailing NDC Members of Parliament with the double salary scandal to have all his ministers passed.

Amidu, who is the former Special Prosecutor further described the president as “irredeemably corrupt” in the epistle.
He also scathingly shredded the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Dame, labeling him as “inexperienced”.
Reacting to Amidu on his Good Evening Ghana show on Metro TV, Adom-Otchere wondered why the former Special Prosecutor sounded “envious” of the Attorney General and Minister for Justice.
He said Amidu is irrelevant and that he needs to back off.
“Why are you envious of the young man? Why? Martin Amidu, we are done with you. Go away. Sleep. Relax. Just chill and enjoy yourself. There’s DSTV. Watch Champions League. Watch Manchester United or Chelsea,” Adom-Otchere stated on the show and monitored by YEN.com.gh on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
“Don’t try and bring yourself into the public domain. You see as soon you came, you heard what ABA Fuseini said about you? You are going to deconstruct the respect that has been built for you if you continue like this.
“Martin Amidu you have done your worse and nobody listens to you,” he added.
The former special prosecutor in an earlier YEN.com.gh’s report launched a scathing attack on Kissi Agyebeng, the nominee for the office of the Special Prosecutor.
Amidu resigned as the country’s first Special Prosecutor in the runup to the crucial 2020 general elections over “political interference”.
He warned in his previous epistles that Ghanaians must be worried over the nomination of Agyebeng.
He resigned as the special prosecutor after his explosive corruption and anti-corruption risk assessment report on the controversial Agyapa Royalties deal in which he said there was reasonable suspicion of “bid-rigging and corruption” as well as the likelihood for “illicit financial flows and money laundering” in selecting the deal’s transaction advisor(s).
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo accepted the nomination of Kissi Agyebeng as Ghana’s next Special Prosecutor, YEN.com.gh reported earlier.
In a statement on Thursday, May 6, 2021, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, said a letter has been sent to the Speaker of Parliament to that effect to seek parliamentary approval in accordance with the law.
