The Accra High Court presided over by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo adjourned the case to Monday, May 31, 2021, after it was informed of the condition of Yaw Dankwa, Daniel Asiedu’s lawyer.

The second prosecution’s witness, Stephen Apreko Mensah, was scheduled to be cross-examined during today’s proceedings. He is the night security officer of the late NPP MP, Starrfm.com.gh reported.

In the meantime, the court rejected the motion asking that the jury in the trial be moved to the scene of the crime that led to the death of JB Danquah.

The court held that the applicant failed to demonstrate “any material issue which could be resolved only by the inspection of the crime scene by the jury.”

The late JB Danquah was murdered in his home on February 9, 2016.

He was a member of the Parliament of Ghana representing the people of Abuakwa North on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) between 2005 and 2009, and once more from 2013 until his death.

It has been five years after the gruesome murder of the former MP and justice is yet to be served in the case.

In a separate development, the founder of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has lashed out at the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George.

The tweet sparked wild reactions and YEN.com.gh compiled a few.

@NashPhones stated: “Do you KNOW most our coups was stage by all this fine men and women with good conscience in the GAF.”

@AhiaveQ added: “I'm sure Kotoka, Ankrah, Akuffo, Acheampong, Rawlings didn't have good conscience that is why they staged a coup? how many teachers and nurses have organized coup in this country? Sometimes just sometimes.”

@AfroPushkin observed: “I'm sure Kotoka, Ankrah, Akuffo, Acheampong, Rawlings et al were either in the Wehrmacht or the Red Army and definitely not GAF. It really is a great wonder when the people that cost us Nkrumah and brought us many years of pain, are gaslighting us.”
