Students in a basic school that is located in the Obuasi West Constituency have launched a massive protest against their leaders in the municipality.

Sharing a video of the incident on social media, an influential Twitter user named @JMbapeppy indicated that the students were at the municipal office attempting to seek redress to their poor educational infrastructure.

According to @JMbapeppy, there are several schools in the Obuasi West Constituency that have extremely poor infrastructure with the school that went on the protest, being just one of many.

This adds up to the several calls from different sections of the Ghanaian society for leaders to fix various parts of the country.

Famous Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, also added his voice to the trending FixTheCountry movement of Ghanaians calling on the government to attend to the numerous issues being faced by citizens.

According to the influential artiste, the citizens will automatically fix their attitudes if the government fixes the country for them.

He further explained that it is difficult for individuals to try fixing themselves in an environment that is not structured to favour people whose attitudes are fixed.

Away from that, a 35-year-old midwife, Priscilla Baah, has died from postpartum haemorrhage after she gave birth at Newland Hospital, a private health facility in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

It is alleged that the sad incident occurred due to negligence on the part of the health officers on duty at the private facility, but insider information obtained by YEN.com.gh has revealed that was not the case.
