One of the parents of the Rastafarian boys, Ras Nkrabea has stated that he is willing to enroll his child in Achimota School following the court's order.

According to him, he and the other parent, Ras Marhguy are skeptical about allowing their wards to report to the school immediately because the authorities might be hostile to them.

In a report filed by JoyNews, Ras Nkrabea said the boys struggled psychologically throughout the ordeal, hence, they do not want them to go through any more traumatic experience in the school because of the court judgement.

“... we are not expecting any form of hostility from the school as the kids have already gone through trauma,” he said.

He stated that one way to address the situation is to show some love, concern and welcome them in the school properly.

Nkrabea said they would appreciate it if the school obeys the court order and welcomes the children with open arms.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the Achimota School had been ordered to admit Tyrone Marhguy, the dreadlock-wearing Rastafarian boy into the school.

The Human Rights Court 1 Division of the High Court in Accra directed Achimota School to also admit Oheneba Nkrabea, another Rastafarian student into the school.

The ruling was read by High Court Judge, Gifty Adjei Addo. Her reasons were that failure to admit the applicant because of their dreadlocks, which is a manifestation of their religious right is a violation of their human right, right to education, and dignity.
