Dissolve Achimota School board: Ras Mubarak urges Education Minister over rasta case

Ras Mubarak, the former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu is suggesting that Dr. Yaw Adutwum, minister of education take charge by dissolving the Achimota School board.

He made the comments following the board's plan to appeal a verdict by the court that some two Rastafarian students should be admitted by the school.

In a new interview, Mubarak lashed out at the board's decision stating that he would have done away with the board if he had the power to do so.

"The Education Minister has the power to bring to an end all this madness and as I said, if I were in his shoes, I would have reprimanded the board and dissolved it," Mubarak said to Francis Abban, host of Morning Starr on Starr FM.

On Monday, May 31, 2021, YEN.com.gh reported that the Achimota School has been ordered to admit Tyrone Marhguy, the dreadlock-wearing Rastafarian boy into the school.

Following the ruling, Ras Tetteh Wayo, the lawyer of Tyrone Marhguy who sued the Achimota school for denying him admission over his dreadlocks commended the judge who sat on the case.

In other news, Lynx Entertainment artiste, Kuami Eugene, has been slammed by an entertainment analyst for his continued use of songs by other people without their approval.

The Open Gate hitmaker has been accused of using songs by both young and old songwriters, and music producers including Roland 'Roro' Ackah, the producer of Okumchola by the late Seth Frimpong.

Following a recent accusation, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, an entertainment analyst has advised Eugene and his management to put a stop to using songs by others without financial compensation and explicit permission of the rights holders.
