Tears flow as car runs over and kills popular Ghana National College teacher

A teacher of the Ghana National College in Cape Coast met her untimely death on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

31-year-old Sheila Afful lost her life after a vehicle that was being driven by a police officer run her over.

The driver, Lance Corporal Euodia Adu Gyamfi of the Twifo Praso police station, was driving a Toyota Corolla saloon car with registration number GG 3680-18 with one person on board.

In a report filed by Citnews, the vehicle which was descending from the administration block towards the main gate veered off its lane, crushed a tree, somersaulted, and ran her over.

The driver and the passenger together with the teacher were rushed to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment, where Sheila Afful was pronounced dead on arrival.

In other news, a Police instructor at the Tesano Police Training School, popularly known as ‘Airborne’ has allegedly defrauded a tomato seller in a recruitment scam.

Airborne defrauded the 30-year-old Adofowaa Faustina of Five Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢ 5000.00).

According to her, one of her friends introduced her to ‘Airborne’ after she convinced her that he helped her get into the police service.

Adofowaa Faustina, an SHS graduate said she did not think twice when Airborne made a demand of Five Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢ 5000.00) as upfront payment to be recruited into the service.

She said she hurriedly took ‘a loan’ from a market association she belongs to in order to fulfill her long-cherished dream of joining the Ghana Police Service.
