Reactions as Man Shares Old Receipt of a Hall He Rented for GHc7 in 1982, Now the Place is GHc29,000

• The Eko Club hall which was given out for a wedding occasion at GHc7 only in 1982 now goes for GHc29,000
• Reacting to the receipt, some Nigerians decried how bad things have become, others argued that even the GHc7 was hard to come by at that time

Photo of an old receipt for the use of a Lagos hall and compound has surfaced online and got many people talking.

Instagram user, Tunde Ednut, shared a photo of the old receipt he said belonged to a man.

It was observed that the receipt was issued for the usage of a hall and compound to host a wedding in 1982.

Quite surprising, both land spaces were given out at only GHc7.

According to Tunde, the same properties are now being leased at about GHc29,000.

Nigerian man shares old receipts of two 2-bedroom flats his parents had paid for in 1988 and 1993

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh previously reported that a Nigerian man had shared old receipts of two 2-bedroom flats his parents had paid for in 1988 and 1993.

The man identified as Chiwueze said a two-bedroom flat was leased to his parents at N180 in 1988 and another at N325 in the year 1993.

According to a Facebook user, Ugo Offoaro, who shared the content, Chiwueze wrote:

"Chinekee!!! See what I found! My parents receipts for the flats. Two - 2bedroom Where has this country gone to? 180 Naira in 1988 and 325 by 1993. The good old days."
