Actress, Salma Mumin, has revealed that she has converted from being a Muslim to Christianity.

She noted that she was born into a Muslim family but has decided to convert to Christianity.

“I changed from Muslim to Christianity ever since I started growing up. By birth, I am a Muslim but I chose to go to church.”

Speaking in an Interview with Delories Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show, Salma hinted that her conversion to Christianity is based on the premise that the same God is being served.

“The truth is I go to church,I believe that, the fact that I come from a Muslim family does not mean that I should also follow suit. It also does not mean that I cannot go to church. We are all serving the same God,” she noted.

Salma who was emphatic with her conversion to Christianity could not answer the question of how her family feels about her conversion. She declared her love for Christianity when she answered “Yes I have taken Christ as my Lord and personal savior and I believe I can only be saved through Him.”

Salma has been in the movie industry for about 5 years. She was adjudged the Best Promising International Actress at the Papyrus Magazine Screen Actors Award (PAMSAA) held in Nigeria two years ago.

Her filmographies include Passion and Soul, The Will, Seduction, No Apology, Purple Rose, Crazy, Five Brides, Happy Death Day and Family Album.
