Ghanaian hiplife musicians, Reggie Zippy and Bollie, who now live in the UK and perform as a duo of Menn On Point, have worked their way through to the Live finals' top 12 of the popular British music singing competition, The X-Factor.
Reggie Zippy and Bollie may not particularly have the best vocals in the competition but the duo pack a lot of attitude which has been their trump card. Prior to the Boot Camp, they rode high on their humour and versatility which made them catch the judges’ affection.
Most viewers who were previously surprised that the pair managed to make their way through to the Judges’ House stage of the competition, were even more on Saturday night given more doses of the talents of Menn on Point when the duo sailed through to the ‘live show’ after judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini chose them together with 4th Impact and Alien Uncovered to the live finals, top 12. Meanwhile the duo have changed their name from Menn on Point to Reggie N Bollie.
‘But they are fantastic, the people who just left the stage are as talented as the ones standing on the stage.’
The groups were joined by the finalists from the Overs category on Saturday night, with Simon Cowell choosing Bupsi, Anton Stephens and Max Stone to take to the live shows Jennifer Phillips.
Earlier this year, the duo made an impressive showing in another hit reality TV show; Britain’s Got Talent and advanced into the second stage but missed out on the quarter finals. However, in the X Factor, they got a four yeses and went straight to the Boot Camp.
