The 2016 presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has called on"all loyal members of the Party to respect the decision of NEC and the Constitution of the Party".
Nana Addo's statement comes on the back of the suspension of the national chairman of the party, Paul Afoko by the National Executive Committee (NEC) last Friday.
According to the flagbearer of the NPP even though it is unfortunate the suspension of Mr. Afoko, he fully supports the decision of the NEC.

"...the appropriate organs of the Party have acted. I am, therefore, calling on all loyal members of the Party to respect the decision of NEC and the Constitution of the Party, which provides channels for redressing grievances. We need to conduct ourselves in a disciplined manner that will protect and promote the integrity and unity of the Party," the statement added.
Nana Addo however, urged all party faithfuls to stay focused and committed towards winning election 2016. "The NPP requires a united and committed front for the task ahead. We need to stay focused and organise ourselves to prosecute a successful campaign in 2016 to relieve the Ghanaian people from their sufferings and hardships."
