Black Stars’ defender Jonathan Mensah ended his four-month FIFA suspension on Monday night and could even be available for selection tonight when his French side Evian play Laval in the French league cup match.
The hard tackling Mensah is free to play competitive football after serving a four-month ban slapped on him by football’s world governing body FIFA.
The France-based player ended the ban at midnight on Monday, making him available both his club Evian and his Ghana national team.

He has trained regularly with his club where he is considered a key player and could be in their immediate plans despite his inactivity for the four month period but it is however uncertain if Mensah will be considered for immediate selection.
Jonathan Mensah was handed the four-month ban in April over contract related issues in his transfer move to Evian Thonon Gaillard in 2011.
Mensah’s Evian are expected to play in the second tier this time after they were relegated from the French Ligue 1 at the end of last season.
