Couple Offer Two-Month Old Baby For Rituals In Exchange For GH¢ 10,000

A couple at Anumle, near the Achimota Senior High School, has been arrested by the Achimota School police for offering their two months old baby for money rituals in exchange for GH¢ 10,000. 

The couple, Yaw Grushie and his wife were suspected of the heinous crime after a young lady upon dumping rubbish at the vicinity's dumping site, spotted the torso ( baby's body without the head and limbs) of the baby in a bush nearby - a gory scene which saw the lady raising an alarm thus having scores of residents throng the crime scene to witness the gruesome scene.

So far, personnel at the Achimota School Police reveal the couple has admitted to their crime as investigations remain pending aside efforts being made to locate the severed head of the baby which remains missing.

Meanwhile Anumle and its surrounding areas namely Christian Village and Kisseman are reportedly becoming safe havens for criminal activities as money rituals (Sakawa) as police authorities there reveal their intentions to beef up security surveillance in these areas.
