Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari has gained the headlines once again as he together with his entourage chose to be transported in a golf-cart during a four day visit to India - a move his government justifies is to cut down cost and thus show leadership when it comes to living the virtue of simplicity.
The 'moderate' move by the Nigerian leader is documented to have sparked much controversy in Nigeria as Nigerians remain divided over the means of transportation used by their leader and his delegation.
Ever since becoming president, Buhari has registered his resolve to instilling fiscal discipline in his government with the eradication of curroption been one of the major agendas on his table - a stance which has not just won the one-time military leader respect worldwide, but also attracted public confidence in his government.
Meanwhile a former Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has expressed support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s effort at tackling corruption, saying graft remains Nigeria’s biggest impediment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
